Abous UsMoringa Development Association of South Africa (MDASA) was registered in 2013 as a non-profit organisation. It is mandate help develop the Moringa sector in the country with various partners such as government departments, universities, research entities and other stakeholders both local and international. The launch of the organisation was held in Polokwane at one of the biggest Moringa farmer and entrepreneur. Since that time, there has been follow up meetings like the national Moringa indaba held at University of the Witwatersrand in 2016. In 2015, many members attended the 1st international symposium on Moringa held in Manila, Philippines. Following this meeting, MDASA and its partners successfully won the bid to host the 2nd International Symposium on Moringa to be held at CSIR convention centre, Pretoria, 10th -13th November 2019. Moringa now is becoming a household name in South Africa as it has been accepted as a super food providing the necessary health supplements. MDASA PartnersObjectivesThe objectives of the Association shall be: 1.) To address socio-economic development issues through the use of Moringa (nutrition, medicinal, job creation, enterprise development). 2.) To promote the use and production of Moringa in South Africa through collaboration, research and community training, farming, new product development and quality control, marketing, teaching and information sharing through; Workshops on any aspect of Moringa. 3.) Help develop business models related to Moringa. To coordinate all activities of Moringa in the country. |
